Almost 5 times the DWI limit

A man arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving in Minneapolis blew a .391 in a preliminary breath test, according to police.
John Thomas Peters, 48, of 4810 Deerwood Dr., Minnetonka, would have had to drink 17 drinks in one hour to get to .391, according to alcoholhelpcenter.net.
Minnesota's blood-alcohol limit is .08.
According to police: Peters, driving a Jaguar XJ8 at high speed early Sunday afternoon, went through a red light at 12th St. S. and Harmon Place, crashing into another vehicle. The report does not mention injuries to Peters or to the driver of the other vehicle.
Peters, who has had 10 tickets for alcohol-related traffic offenses going back to 1980, has a restricted license that forbids consumption of alcohol.
He was in the Hennepin County jail on Monday.
