LANGLADE COUNTY — A former Langlade County deputy remains behind bars after a judge denied a motion to lower bond in the case.
Michael Brayton, 25, is charged with 22 counts of sexual assault, child enticement and exposing himself to underaged girls. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond. An attorney for Brayton on Tuesday asked a judge to reduce the bond, but his motion was denied.
According to online court records, Brayton is accused of crimes that took place 2011. A news release from the Langlade County Sheriff’s office said that an internal investigation determined that none of the alleged crimes took place while Brayton was on duty.
