My Favorite Personal Defense Gun

My Favorite Personal Defense Gun: The Beretta Jetfire: My personal favorite defense gun has always been a Beretta Jetfire in 22 short. Over all the years I've been hiking and hunting I never leave without it in my pocket. Of course we all know too the first rule when hiking in the wilderness is to use the "Buddy System". For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this it means you NEVER hike alone, you bring a friend or companion, even an in-law, that way if something happens there is someone to go get help.

I remember one time hiking with my brother-in-law in northern Alberta . Out of nowhere came this huge brown bear and man was she mad. We must have been near one of her cubs.
Anyway, if I had not had my little Jetfire I'd sure not be here today. Just one shot to my
brother-in-law's knee cap and I was able to escape by just walking at a brisk pace.

That's one of the best pistols in my safe.....

Lampreys from Great Lakes destined for queen's pie

DETROIT—A few unwanted, invasive sea lampreys from the Great Lakes have been shipped to England for use in a traditional pie for Queen Elizabeth II.
The Detroit Free Press reports ( http://on.freep.com/IdmZkP) the City of Gloucester, which has given the pie as a gift to the monarch since the Middle Ages, requested the eel-like creatures from the Great Lakes Fishery Commission because they're a protected species in England. The pie is for June's Diamond Jubilee, the 60th anniversary of the queen's ascent to the throne.

Texas issues fugitive warrants for Ryan Leaf

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) Authorities in Texas have issued two arrest warrants for Ryan Leaf, declaring the former NFL quarterback is a fugitive from justice.
The Texas prosecutor who brokered a 10-year probationary sentence for Leaf two years ago on drug and burglary charges filed a motion to revoke Leaf's probation earlier this month.
The warrants were issued Monday. Leaf made an initial appearance on them Wednesday via video from the jail in Cascade County, Mont. His total bond is now set at $126,000.
Leaf was arrested in Great Falls on March 30 and again early on April 2. Authorities said that both times he was found in possession of oxycodone taken from other people's residences.
Leaf is scheduled to be arraigned May 3 in the Montana case.

Was Archie Bunker a Prophet?/Video

Archie Bunker was one of my favorite shows.  Many people laughed at Bunker and thought he was an idiot or a racist.  I was of the opinion that he was a prophet.  This short video proves that I was right:

Archie Bunker knew what a "Meathead" was and you will too after you watch this
